Better Future Series
Company One Theatre's Better Future Series brings together and activates Boston’s artists, community leaders, policymakers and residents in order to understand the needs of our neighborhoods and reimagine a better future for our city. During these free, all-ages events at City Hall’s Civic Pavilion, participants will dig into some of the city’s most urgent concerns and celebrate the power of collective action with creativity and joy, engaging with partners across the city around a new topic at each event. It’s a space to have fun, dream big, and bring your voice to the City’s doorstep!
As the Connectivity Manager at Company One Theatre, I serve as the Creative Producer for this series. From planning to execution, I am responsible for managing everything from permitting with the City, identifying and hiring artists, engaging partner organizations, hiring and overseeing staff and volunteers, managing budgets, and hosting and line-producing the events on the day of. I work closely with the Director of Connectivity and the Marketing and Communications Manager to shape outreach strategies and ensure our programming reaches and reflects the communities we aim to serve. For over 70% of Better Future attendees this is their first engagement with Company One, and it is our lead program for bringing in new community partners. My work centers on relationship building and logistical care to produce events that foster joy and connection, spark dialogue, and drive collective action.
